Hello,

Does anyone have a link and/or know of where I can find a DME 3000 manual...or if the DME 7000 shares some of the same functions, where I can find a DME 7000 manual?

Thank you in advance. Happy Holidays..

Curt
Hi All I'm looking for user & Service manual for DFS500 . Does anyone have some info where to get it?
You can also try and look for manuals RE
This ftp is not working anymore
Our IT people told us that Explorer doesn't like FTP anymore.... go to my computer, and type the link in there and you can access it... then you have to right-click the file you want, and copy it to your hard drive, then open it there...... Always love those new "Features" (never failures) b

Mike, yeah good suggestion. Our old forum code didn't have that lovely "Sticky" feature, but now it's no problem.

Rick, thanks for the address. I wonder if this forum software allows for "stickys"? Someone asks maybe three-four times a year about Sony online manuals, having a "sticky" with certain links might be helpful.

Curt, I have it as a PDF file on my computer. I don't know how to attach files using the email link here, so I just sent you an email with my address. If anyone else is interested, click on the email link to the left. Its for verison 1 and later according to the title page. Copyrights on this one of 1996 and 1997 (depending on the section). Sean

Mike, Thank you for the quick response.....I may just need to do some quick and easy adjustments to a pre-existing effect. Pretty much blow up an image and modify. Effect should already be saved... I haven't been on a DME in quite awhile, and even that was just for something very basic. I remember the menus were pretty easy to navigate..everything was by the function keys...and every menu has a # ( pretty cool idea for gettting to a burried menu you go to alot) ..Just choose the channel you want, and manipulate... I was going to try and read in the manual how to modify and resave. Are there any quirks to doing that...or is it pretty straight forward? I am familiar with the DVEous...but not soo much w/ a DME... Thanks for any help. Curt

Well, the 3000 and 7000 are basically the same box, the 7000 has more functions and bells and I think greater keyframe storage. How urgent is the need? I am currently looking at two Sony DME-7000/DME-3000 "reference guides" version 1.0 They are "based on DME-7000 software 3.04 and DME-3000 software v3.00" Copyright 1998, written by Michael Buday and they were the books Sony gave at their training. I think one was missing a section or something, that is why Sony sent me the second. I would need to check them to see what's missing. The copy that is not perfect is yours if you wish, all I ask is shipping. Not sure if I could get it out ASAP due to Christmas and a couple of work days in between.
