Hey John:

-- Jeff Gold at Universal.

I'm having an issue with the Snell 1010...Maybe you can help me....Seems like no matter what I try, I can only assign the DVE to the Background buss. Whenever I try to assign it to Key 1, Key 2, or DSK, it defaults back to BG when I depress the DVE button. Am I missing something, or is something wrong? The manual is incomplete (to say the least) and no one else around here knows anything about the switcher. HELP!!!!

Thanks, hope you are well....The Axial works great (of course).

Jeff

I think you need to turn off the dve in the background area, then you can turn it on in the Key 1 or 2 area. Sometimes it is hard to get it to release the DVE from the background. Select the DVE button in the "transistion" area (in the Time, Flip flop, Rev, Dve, row) and make sure the DVE active is turned off, sometimes I have to try a few times before it is released, then you turn it on in the Key area. I find the wipe masks are the same way, they can only be turned on one keyer at a time. Least thats what I find. kip

Hi Jeff, I heard that one of the tech support guys was going to stop by and troubleshoot your problem. Did that happen and what was the prognosis? Cheers, -= Ken =-

Hi Jeff, Sorry for the delay. . . I really don't know much about the switcher myself, I'm hoping that Ken Schneider of Snell & Wilcox will chime in here. . . Ken??
