Is there a way to create a macro to call up a a particular timecode on a machine? I've only been able to roll a machine. Any info would be great.

A roundabout way that you might try is to use ONE effect on the External Device level. On each keyframe, enter the desired timecode. Now you can program each macro to call up that level & go to a specific keyframe (use the GOTO KF dialog). So you'll only use up 1 effect, but each macro can address a different keyframe of that effect. That should let you talk to the Aprisa. But make sure that KF 1 has NO cueing info - that'll save things from trying to cue once, then re-cue to the specific keyframe.

Bob, I got a chance to try this today. Yes you can macro timecode in the ext device control menu. You can not macro cue points in the timeline menu(I expected that) you can however macro a play command in the timeline event menu. Our problem is we are using an apraisa DDR. It will only accept a cue command from the timeline menu and not the control menu. Apraisa uses a wacky recall command to recall an entire event. What I had to do is create a macro to cue in the control menu, and attach it to the position on the timeline when it needs to be cued. Not exactally the easiest way to do it but it is a round about way to get what I need done.

You should be able to go into the Control sub-menu of the External Devices menu, select your desired machine, enter a timecode & press CUE as a macro function - you may want to add a small delay between commands to let the system catch up, but that may not be necessary. I haven't personally tried this, but because the macros can issue commands though the menus, it should work (operative word is SHOULD). Let me know if it works OK for you.
