Odd Zodiak stillstore problem

We've recently been having a problem with the still store files on our Zodiak. According to the TD, they will often have to reset the frame to be able to open the files to load the stills. In addition, they will often find the stills that they recorded replaced by generic stills when they open the files.

We've been having some odd problems on and off for a while, but the still store issue seems to be happening every day.

We have a 2.5 ME Zodiak, running software version 6.0.2.2. We have done all of the software and hardware the updates to the switcher with the exception of getting the new processor, which Grass Valley said we didn't need.

Any ideas/help would be appreciated!

Thanks -

Mark

When I've "lost" stills/clips, I try setting the Still Store to read a different folder, then setting it back to the default. This usually causes the Still Store to go hunting for the available items, and usually finds them. It's a little quicker than going for the reset button first. brad bradfisher.org/kalypso

Mark...we've seen similar issues on our Kalypso. After saving a still or clip, it doesn't always appear in the list, and therefore, isn't available to load for playback. To remedy that, we end-up restarting the still-strore frame, and sometimes the switcher frame, as the Kalypso (and I'd assume the Zodiak) builds file assiciations for the SS on the switcher frame. Another thing that we see happen is that our looped animation clips will stop looping/playing...this is generally our indication that we'll be seeing a problem shortly. Generally, I recall the e-mem that reloads those looped clips, and with any luck, that clears up the immediate issue. I've been told that using the "unload output" feature can upset the system, and will eventually cause a SS failure. I've also been told that GVG is working on an update for the SS to make it run a bit more like the SS seen on the xTenDD. Not really an answer, but I hope that helps! Matt
