I?m trying to build some very simple squeezeback effects (2 and 3-channels) with changing priorities ie TE1 starts full frame to settle under TE2 which stays in its top right position for the duration of the move. I?m starting to build it as a 2 keyframe move then jogging through to the point I want the priority (dissolve) change to happen and adding a keyframe. The dissolve is happening okay, but then I get a ?pop? in the move, no matter which type of ?Path? I programme for Key1 TE1 Locate. Any suggestions???????????????

Hi Jenny You may already discovered by now, the Kalypso does not yet perform an E-Mem "Priority Transition" between keyers. (You can only do this transition manually.) If the TEs have a spot where they don't overlap, you can step to this point using the "Jog" knob on the Menu (or the Effects Fader from software version 12), change the priority using the menu, then press the [Mod] button. This will insert a new keyframe at the current time. If they don;t overlap, you need to do complex trickery using wipes, masks, or a third keyer shadowing the second, with a simultaneous "mix off - mix on" between them. Not a satisfying answer, I know. Happy switching. brad bradfisher.org
