I'm new to Sony switchers, and I can't seem to figure one simple thing out: I want to add a drop shadow to my double boxes, split screens, etc. Do add this shadow through the keyer menus, or through the DME effect/snapshot?

I was trying to select shadow and manipulate through the keyer, and I started to alter "shadow" variables, but nothing was showing up on the screen. Is there a secret knock/handshake/password I don't know about?

You shouldn't have to burn a whole channel for a dropshadow. Unless you want it blurred. But the Sony 3000/7000 DME's have their own dropshadow in menu page 14.

You have to burn a channel for an internal DME drop shadow. Menu 4213. I haven't figured out how to put two drop shadows on two internal DME's.
