I am trying to learn how to setup a 4k to work with a lance controller. I have some experience doing this on a Sony switcher. My question is, from what I have read, the Lance will only recall the same register number as the E-mem that is being recalled. On the Sony, I can recall any register on the Lance from any effect on the switcher. Is there anyway to get the 4k to act the same as the Sony in this manner? On the Sony, I can have one register on the Lance be my effect into the replay and another register be the out move, all from one timeline on the switcher. Is this possible on the 4k?

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

The 4K will never be just like the Sony HOWEVER when Lance came out with v3 of their software it allows the TD to have the Lance call up another one or two Lance registers. Let's say your replay in is register 01, you can have the off at 101 or 201. By using FUNCTION 10 or 11 or 12 you can get the Lance to jump ahead by either 100 or 200 registers. So if you have a lineup move on at 05, the off can be at 105 or 205. This can be done with one timeline. Using Function 10 will select bank 0(registers 00-99, Function 11 selects bank 1(registers 100-199), and Function 12 selects bank 2 (registers 200-299). It is on page 16 of the Lance manual. You do have to set this up in the 4K PERPH TRIGGERS Menu section, but that should only take a few minutes. Most Lance controllers have been upgraded however you may run into one that has not. Always check software versions. Let us know if this makes sense.
