Hello,

As a rather experienced vision mixer on sony, I am now starting to get more and more comfortable with the DD35... I wonder if there is any software you can find somewhere that makes it possible to control your mixer from an external pc?

Also, our DVExtreme is currently on vacation so we had to put in our dme-7000. Does anyone of you have any experince with this configuration? I've tried to change the control to sonyDME-protocol, but as I understood it I also have to change the cable... Maybe anyone of you done this with p-bus control?

thank you in advance

Martin

Hi Martin, You can use any PC in the DD network. Top only thing you have to do is to put the PC in the network (with a not used IP-Address). Then you can use both the SidePanelPC or your laptop at the same time (also more if you will). The IP Address is of the network is 192.168.0.xxx. (Standard for the E-Box 70-72; Panel 73 and PC 74). Best regards Jochen

Ok, thank you both. Maybe I should explain the reason for this - simple because I fear the day when the HDD dies. Therefore I would like to make some sort of backup that can be used if this would happend. So, once again - not very used to install phillips - can I use this software on a laptop, disable the existing sidepanel, and control the switcher this way. Is there even a way to work with them both at the same time. How to do this? Over network via a switch? I can see that there is some IP-adresses involved here. Martin

Hi Martin, You should be careful with a "new" sidepanel software on an "older" software in the switcher-system! The best way should be, that you use the software you can find on the sidepanel PC. The Sidepanel Software you can find in the folder c:DD35binDS0203DS203.4xx Copy this folder (over network) to your PC and execute the setup.exe file from the Disk1 folder. Best regards Jochen
