8000 menu beep?

Is there a way to turn off the beeping sound in the menu on the 8000 when ever you touch the menu? If not, can a "Menu Beep Off" option be programmed into it? I can't stand hearing that beeping when I'm sitting typing Xpoint names and such for 5 minutes long. If it drives me crazy, and I'm the one causing it, I can't imagine what that beeping is doing to everyone else in the room. I also don't want to wait for v7 for that option, since the switchers I'm working on here in SF aren't up to v6 yet.

You know, I forgot that it would beep, we have had the beep turned off almost since we got the box.

Yeah, that beep was cool at first, but it gets annoying after awhile.
