Hello,

I'm thinking about the possibility of work in simultcast with a DD35-2S electronic in SD and with the Kayak HD electronic. The panel to control both electronics it will be Kayak or DD-35? It's possible to do this configuration? What do you think about it?

Thank you,

Enric

Hi Enric, Simmulcast is not a supported feature, nevertheless it is basically possible but should be used for crosspoint selection and transitions only. Be aware that the Keyer and DPM with working some different. The IP adress of the additional frame could be setup if an additional PC is connected to the network running sidepanel application. What Panel you use (Kayak or XtenDD) is always depending which of the frames is the master. If you control from the Kayak Panel use the Kayak Frame as master and vise versa. With a future release it will be possible to control fully a Kayak SD/HD frame from a XtenDD Panel. Have the same software version running on both the Kayak and the XtenDD Further hints: a) Both the applications have to be stored seperately as they would have two applications, one for the Kayak another for the XtenDD. You should store e.g. one application when be connected to the Kayak frame, then disconnect and connect to the XtenDD frame and store this application by slightly other name. Both applications must be loaded when using the switchers in simulcast mode. In order to avoid that the panel application would be overwrite it must be taken care that one of both application will load only the mainframe configuration. Therefore one of the applications must exclude the IP adress of the Controlpanel. Delete this IP adress out of the devices.ini file. Then only the part of the mainframe application will be loaded. b) In addition, the CP could be provided with a Master Only button and a Slave Only button. As long as one of the buttons is held down, the panel also behaves accordingly. You can take two buttons as UPK (e.g. FTB enable; because limit set and limit on is not available on Kayak) c) Open the Registry ( execute > Regedit ) HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > BTS > SP > GENERAL and change DWORD to value 1 (active). For that double click to SeparateAppliByDevTable and enter value 1 > enter. This creates two separate subfolder for both applications in order to avoid wrong application loadings. The same do also for the DWORD SeparateEvirByIP in order to avoid overwriting the environment data. Try it, should work ! Regards Rainer
