Hi again Guys,

New question for the gurus... is it possible to make a macro on the sidepanel software of an external PC without having to be connected to the control panel.

I have tried installing the sidepanel in "Demo" mode but it will not save any macros. When you try to record (or create then edit) it dows not show up on the menu as being created.

Another linked question, where does the sidepanel software record the macros to in the directory structure of the sidepanel software. Would it be possible to record a macro on one switcher, copy the macro from the SidePanel and then transfer it to another switcher (obviously this "might" only work if it records states of the switcher and not inputs ie key on/off, cut, auto trans etc).

Just thinking ??

Dave

Hi Dave, No, that's not possible. The macros are stored in the panel and not saved on the PC. You have to be connected at a panel. Julia
