DVS 9000 Aspect Ratio 4:3 Undecided. What is this?

Hello,
The DVS 9000 switcher in our facility is displaying "undecided" on the aspect ratio selection button for 4:3.

I have loaded a number of different set-ups that our users have, but none can clear the "undecided" message.

DME Aspect, Switcher Aspect are all set for 4:3.

Menu page 7313.1 Engineering Setup >> System >> Format >> Active Line/ Aspect.

When 16:9 is selected, there's no such "indecision". The word only appears on the 4:3 button when it is selected.

Any ideas or help? Darned if I can find anything about it in the Operators Manual.

We're using this in Standard Definition, 576i PAL

To switch the aspect/active line you have to do an execute for the switcher to reboot. If your system is working in 16:9 and you select the button for 4:3 the 'undecided' message will appear until you go back to menu 7313 and press 'execute'. The switcher will now reboot and boot up in 4:3-mode. Your 'undecided' message shouldn't be there now. Good luck :-) Martin
