Hello,

Could you explain me how works the Sony switchers in SD and HD? Which is the SD series? And the HD series?

Is it possible works simultaneously in SD and HD?

Thank you,

Enric

While there are different model designations that have to do with SD & HD, the basic answer to your question is this: The 9000 series are SD only. The 8000 (depending on options) series are HD. An HD 8000 can do SD by changing the appropriate flags in the Engineering System menu. There are some 8000 systems that have been sold as SD only, with HD being a purchaseable option. An 8000 or 8000A can do EITHER SD or HD, but not both simultaneously. The new 8000G has cross-converters on both the inputs and outputs, so it CAN provide a simultaneous SD & HD feed.
