I'm doing some switcher training at a station that also wants to use an X-keys keypad to control 3 channels of AirSpeed through the "iNews Command" software. I have seen X-keys used with the Pinnacle Thunder and Lightning but not with iNews/AirSpeed. Has anyone used this combination successfully?

They want to be able to select between the 3 server outputs (A, B, C) and perform normal transports controls on them individually. I'm not sure if iNews Command is even capable of that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pretty much the same here. Rock solid operation. A-B-C with same X-Keys controls. 2 ea of ControlAirServer//AirSpeed//AirSpace - - but only one operational at a time (so we have a complete redundant system to go to) (Force to A//Force to B//Force to C//Reserve Show//Un-Reserve Show//Collapse//Expand//Go to Top//Page Up//Page Down//Enter-OK//Up//Stop//Re-Cue//Pause//Down//Cue//Play) Side Note: Also becme familiar on the GUI PC with "LaunchPad" . The iNews server can be DOA-- but you can still play tapes manually as long as they made it to AirSpace. A REAL lifesaver!!! Don KXTV-Sacramento

I work at a news station where we have an X-Keys (the one the size of a PC numeric keypad) controlling a Control Air client that drives 3 Airspeed chassis (total of 6 playouts, 2/chassis.) This works pretty well. We have the X-Keys programmed with keystroke macros for play, pause, recue, change channel assignment, reserve playlist, unreserve playlist, connect to server, disconnect from server, up a line, down a line, expand playlist, hide playlist. I think that's everything. Chad
