M/E anomaly

I had an issue with the Kalypso on Lyon 6 over the last two days and I wanted to see if anyone may have seen this kind of behavior before. First a little background, the switcher (running v. 14.0.0.1) had an issue that manifest itself last week in which M/E 1 wasn't getting the required voltage and began, for lack of a better term, totally freaking out. Lights dancing, sources frantically cutting by themselves - imagine a mini Rave going on in M/E 1. That issue was discovered and resolved.

This week M/E 1 would occassionally not allow manual dissolves. M/E 1 (as well as the rest of the switcher) is in Split mode with both PRI and SEC selected at the time of the attempted manual trans. While it wouldn't allow a fader bar dissolve, it WOULD allow an Auto Trans and/or a cut (using both the Cut button as well as direct crosspoint cuts). The simple solution I found to "awaken" the sleeping fader bar (or so it seemed) was to select either PRI or SEC and perform the manual trans. But after a period of idle time (usually more than two minutes) the M/E would again take a nap as far as manual dissolves go.

The M/E has a brand new transition module, replaced a little over a week ago after another (yet similar) set of issues - but prior to the voltage issue. We recalibrated all of the fader bars and I cycled through a number of local Emems but there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it. I do control some crosspoints on the SEC side via macros but can't imagine that it would have any affect on this. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether or not they performed a full NV Ram drain after adding the new hardware. Any ideas?
I've heard of cell phones causing problems if you have your phone nearby.
Mike, today I was on a 3k, I have ATT for my cell phone and the phone was on the control panel. several times during setup the PGM/PST bus changed crosspoints with no one near the panel. Then as I punched around on the key buses I had cross points change. I moved the phone and the ghost was gone.

Someone just told me a story about their iphone, actually attaching macros to buttons when it is laying near the switcher and it rings, bizzarre. This was on a Sony 8K.

I had sort of the same problem on Trio Tango a few weeks back. All of a sudden lights started flashing and the switcher began running my replay element and triggering the Lance on it owns. I positioned the Lance cable in a different position and I believe we reset the switcher. The flashing and triggering never came back, but the following week (as Bob had observed) the PRI & SEC buttons did not light although the switcher was calling up the proper effects. I did not see any issue after that and the switcher had and has behaved and performed flawlessly during the shows.

Last week I had a similar problem on a v.14.1 Kalypso...The PRI & SEC buttons on the panel wouldn't even light up when any of the M/E's were put into split mode, and the lever arms wouldn't work on the SEC sides. A reset of the main frame processor cleared up the problem.
