We just connected our Avid AirSpeed as a playback device on our 8000G running v7.10 software, and it hesitates about 10-15 frames when I roll it for playback. Not knowing the settings on the Avid end, is there anything that I can do on the switcher end to tighten this gap?

I'm using a macro to roll the AirSpeed, and the macro is similar to what we use on our tape machines ... basically, DEV x, TC Mark In, Play.

Thank you!
Matt

Just found out that the delay issue that we experience with the HD AirSpeed is (in fact) an AirSpeed issue. One of our engineers contacted Avid, and found that this delay is a known issue, and has nothing to do with the Sony switcher or the VDCP connection. Just figured that I'd post it in the event anyone else is looking to answer the same question at some point in time. Matt
