Hello,
I was curious is setting the keyer to clean mode the way to key when you have shaped video coming into the 8K? I assumed that this is correct, I know of no other way to set up a device to be set to shaped key. I am not aware of a setting like on the GVG switchers where you can setup the source in the config menu to be shaped.

Supposedy the chryon duets only do shaped, assume there is a lot of users using this combination, how are you keying it?

thanks for your thoughts

Bill
What setting is your deko set for shaped or unshaped? Deko actually lets you choose, duets are fixed at shaped.
Our Deko is set as a digital source with shaped video.

I work on the 8K in a news environment and we don't use the clean mode with our dekos. Many of our dekos are produced out of house. Because of this not all backgrounds or key signals have ideal properties, which I was told was needed to use clean mode. We also use a chyron for a ticker which is all in-house and it is run in the clean mode. According to the manual the clean mode goes off when: - Key is a pattern key - Key fill is a matte - Key inversion is on - Key edge is an outline - Key edge is norman with soft edge being on - Fine Key is on - Key Positioner is on
