I've written a little macro on the SD Classic Kalypso V12 to resource linear BLK to the bug and tele. If I run the macro from the side panel touch screen Macro Menu no problem as long as I'm logged in as the engineer. Sometimes it prompts me to log in and I enter my password and then it resources the black and I go along my merry way. But, these two macros will not run from the assigned macro buttons on the control panel wether I'm logged in or not. The funny thing is these same macros written on the Kayak or the Dual side of the Kalypso seem to work just fine on the control panel. Any thoughts? Version 12 classic

Thanks
Greg

I make a macro that selects black on the keyer where I'm keying my Tele. I also make a second macro that selects the Tele as a source. All of my effects have a crosspoint hold on that keyer (PGM/PST K4 for me) as well as Key 4 turned on. In engineering you also need to have black patched to an input then set that input as a linear key with itself (black) as it's key signal. This has always worked great for me. If the talent doesn't clear the Tele before the end of the replay I can run my replay off effect then (pretty much simultaneously) hit my ?Tele Out? macro. I have these two macros at the end of the Key 1 bus. Remember, if you?re running out of crosspoints and you don?t want black mapped anywhere, you can make your macro by selecting black in the M-E/Source Select menu while Record Macro is on. Ed

Glen, Yep, your exactly right. I bet it is the engineering menu that is screwing things up. Thanks I'll use suite prefs next time. Happy Punching Greg

I am guessing that since you have to log in when running this macro, that you are resourcing linear black in the engineering menu, and changing the input in source definition. A better way to do it is to change the input in suite prefs, source patch. I run a macro on all my back bench dual shows that changes the source patch for tele and bug to the linear black input, and it works just fine no matter where I attach the macro. And since it is in suite prefs, you do not have to be logged in to make the change.
