Hi

I?m a student and supposed to make a concept for a software that would automate some basic tasks of a TV-director and vision mixer (just cut and crossfade).

The software is running on Windows and the computer will be connected to the mixing console via RS-422.

I would need some advice... What is the most used protocol that would work with the majority of the switchers. I think it?s GVG-XXXX, but which one of them? Or AMP?

And where could I find the specification/ manual for the protocol?

I?m not an engineer, but a director, so sorry my lack of knowledge in technology:)

Yours sincerely,
Vili
