Conan took control of his show last night cutting cameras for a segment -- he actually did a good job and didn't snap once.
Link bellow -- enjoy

Scott, I was thinking it was an aux bus panel, remote type, controlling macros that reacll crosspoints and DME effects. Matt, it's an "A" variant, according to this Sony press release from '05:

So watch closely... is that 1RU remote head covered- nicely BTW- with duct tape??? You can see overlaps at the top & bottom when he turns it sideways.
ok have to ask what switcher are they using
NBC has an agreement with Sony, so they are punching on an HD capable Sony ... either the MVS-8000, 8000A or 8000G. Even since I've watched those clips, I've wanted a piece of bundt cake! Matt
I think NBC is trying to avoid the Lunch Penalty by giving the director a break to eat. :)
Much like any attempts to unionize I've seen, give them a turkey sandwich and a bundt cake and any union troubles go away.

Ugh a snapping director :(
When directing, I would just point in a large sweeping motion... Probably just as bad.
Same thing here, when I was in school I earned the nickname "Captain Picard" because of the resemblance to whenever he gave an order and said "Engage!"

I saw this last night and laughed out loud when Conan made fun of the director for snapping his fingers, saying "it looks stupid" ! HA HA

I wanted to see him punch an M/E where some weird effect was cued up. So can somebody just give the writers what they want already so we can get good TV back on the air again?
