Hello Editsuite.com friends,

Due to tons of abuse, we now require that you request user access by sending us your Login, Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and Profession by submitting that info HERE.  I'll review your request and try to get back to you within the week.  You can't imagine how many folk want to trash forums with bogas advertising.

Seems that everyone wants to be a TD these days.
First Conan, now Hillary Clinton on the Colbert Report last night.
;)

As a TD you have to smile that they'd get a presidential candidate to say,
"Are you feeding video with the router or the Aux buss?"

Sounds from your various posts that you are quite the TD. I mostly TD myself now (Colbert is my "regular" gig). I think people saw what a shaky engineer I was and decided it was safer to have me switch! Do you do mostly sports? Do you travel a lot? If you would rather email me privately it is pretnar@optonline.net

Well my friend. I hope things are well for you. Dang, it has been a long time. I see Tim M. from time to time.

I was the TD on that show. The producers wanted to use the NEP bars because they thought it looked more "techie" (don't know if I spelled that right) -Jon
why not use generic non-logo'd switcher test pattern.
Because NEP wanted everybody to know that the technical problem affecting an extremely popular show happened in one of their trucks. I mean, you want everybody to know who you are when you screw up, right? Of course the real joke is that the TD who managed to create a nifty DVE effect for when the screen "died" needed the talent to show him how to make it work again.
Nice ad for NEP there, though I'm pretty sure that this is the first time that bars have ever made the air intentionally.
They have a Kalypso, why not use generic non-logo'd switcher test pattern. Unless it was from a router :)
