Hi folks,

Just started using clean feeds on the Kayak yesterday. Can I manipulate clean feeds in an aux buss the same way I do on a Kalypso, and if so, how?

Any one at GVG, I updated PUMA CO to 693 (Kayak SD 2.5 ME) last week and used it this last weekend for a MLS game. The MLS requires us to provide a clean feed with replay. So I was going to run my normal setup and then noticed that AUX 10 my ME Half Clean Feed no longer was clean. So I went to Config ME E-Box and clicked on the H-ME and noticed a nice little message that says no clean feed available on the Half. This really puts us at MTVG PUMA CO in a bind. Because not only are we limited to 2.5 ME's which I know isn't GVG's fault, but now we can't use the limited ME as a clean. So I proceeded to rebuild my show on ME-1 and PP giving MLS Key-4. The reason that I write you is to plead that in 694 they will let us have this valuable resource back. I usually cut on the Half so that I can set-up two boxes and effects up on ME-1. Then I cut through PP to them so as not to interupt the normal show flow. Now I'm setting up all effects using the ME-1 keys in preview (The only ME with all DPM's on board) and it hasn't gotten me into a jam yet. Because I've been quick on my key reset button when a director or producer change up happens. But it could and I don't think it was an upgrade and more of a down grade to take away the clean on the half ME. I do like how they revamped the clean feed for the other ME's and made them more like the Kaypso. Just Venting Greg

I apparently don't communicate very well for someone in the "communications bidness". thanks Mike! I use Buss Linking on the Kalypso and replace My ME's with clean feeds of my ME's on an aux buss. I just let the clean feed cut the ME's. I want to figure out if the same thing is possible on the Kayak. thanks, Scott

Scott[/quote] Scott, greetings. I don't know how you do a clean feed on a Klaypso, so I can't help you. Please explain and I might be able to assist.

The first time I saw the new version was Wednesday at the Colts new stadium, but I didn't get a chance to play with it. I would guess that under the TiMemo Define menu would be a delegation for clean feeds.

It depends on which version of the software you're using. The latest version allows a clean feed just like the Kalypso. Earlier versions make use of substitution tables linked to the aux you're using. I don't know the steps unless I'm sitting in front of a Kayak, and I'm not right now. But if you dig through the aux menus you should be able to find sub tables and how to link it to the aux.
