Hello,

Does anybody have a suggestion in how to keep looping a Macro in the MVS8000G?

Thanks

A bit of a work around would to be build the macro as usual and then place it into macro timeline and loop that. However I don't think this will work with a DDR/VTR as it might take more then a frame to cue and roll which would result in a slight freeze.

Allan, Basically this macro just recalls a clip from a vtr machine. We just want to play this clip over on over again. The loop function and button become disable when we build an effect using DEV1 and this device is using a vtr protocol for control. We are running V.7.20. Thanks.

Not sure if you can loop in VTR mode...

When I asked a Sony rep about looping ( for a different reason) via VDCP,  I was told the only two devices supported are an EVS, and the Abekas Mira.  This info was from about a year ago, so not sure if there have been any changes (especially w/ ver 8 software).

Did you ever resolve this issue?  I'm having a similar issue.

Unless you're on v7.2 or higher, I don't think you can loop a macro. If you're on v7.2 or higher, you can create a macro timeline and I assume you can loop the macro timeline. What exactly are you trying to accomplish by looping a macro? -Allan
