Not sure if anyone saw the Giants game on ESPN last night. Was watching in HD but on WWOR (local NY station which puts espn's feed up on their channel)

For atleast the first 3 quarters every time they went to and from replay the video and bug (brand and score bug) was blurry. After a few seconds you saw everything slowly get back to normal.

I can't imagine the simulcast would be messed up since it seems like that is just the same show gfx and all.

I guess that is possible, sure directv does not give WWOR in NY (HD) a lot of bandwidth. I would have checked it on espn direct but my son had wwor on and the dvr had buffered most of the game already.

That sounds like MPEG to me. If they have too many ATSC subchannels going on I bet the feed is bit-starved as hell. All the motion in the replay move sucks up a lot of bits and there's not many left over to make the video after the animation look good... It takes a few seconds to find enough spare bits to refine it.
