Our Pinnacle DVExtreme needs two new video cards and will cost $10K to fix. We are hesitant to sink that kind of money into a 10 year old box, especially, since the control room may be upgraded to HD sometime next year. Is there a DVE in the $10-15K price range that has 2-3 channels and is 16x9 SDI? It will be an external DVE and won't interface with our Kalypso. Thanks.

Don't think Mike meant the MX. I think he was refering to the original SD only version. Even on the used market an MX is going to be like 45k.

Thanks for the suggestion Mike. I like the fact that the Dveous/MX handles SD and HD and also works well with the Kalypso.

You can find a used SDI DVEous in that price range. Not too difficult to interface with the switcher either.
