In the 8000G 7.2 manual it says.

"In the setup menu, you can assign any 16 actions to user preference buttons in the menu control block."

However the Menu Control Block only has 8 User Prefs buttons. Is the additional 8 (9-16) only used if you reassign some buttons to be user prefs or is there some sort of shifting used?

That Prefs option with the menu I think works with 7.1

I only have 7.1 installed on the switchers to play with. I just have the 7.2 manual handy on the computer so looked that up.

Try assigning one of them (9-16) in offline macro editing. Wonder if they fixed this in 7.2 Currently you can have 16 prefs but only 8 are assignable in the offline macro menu.

To answer my own question you have to assign user 9-16 to one of the other Menu Control Block buttons.
