I have a directing gig next weekend and I will have an inexperienced TD. I know the switcher well but I am a little shaky on the fast forward. I need to know how to load it and create effects with it.

thanks for your help

If your animations are already recorded onto the fast forward you take these steps: Assuming there is a lance control, you shuttle the lance to the point where you want to cue your fill video, hit channel 1 and mark in, then shuttle through animation till end point, hit mark out. Then hit channel 2 and do same to position the matte for the fill, do a mark in and out. The td then needs to save the mark in and out positions on a EMEM register. YOu can only save one saved position per E-MEM, depending on how many different animations there are the TD needs a setup for each different one. To actually play the fast forward you would use the p-bus command on the switcher to play it. HOpe this helps.
