OK - I am setting up a new kalypso for a client. I have the Dveous on CPL under Remote enable. On the Kalypso I created a DVE (DPM) link under "ports and devices definition" on CPL 2. When I go into the External Devices enables, there is no device on the enable side, but the DPM1: DVE shows a status available light. I am stuck at this point as I cannot get the DVEous to recall an effect. I know that I am missing a step, but cannot seem to find it.

Thanks for any help.

J

Thanks Zipp. The end result was some glitch in the system. We had a power brown out and after that, everything was working fine. Go figure.

There will not be a device listed on the enable (left) side of the external device enables menu only whats on the right. Just make sure the "switcher controls DPM" is selected. Double check your e-mem prefs for what delegate is controlling the dpm. Default should be DPM. You mentioned creating a device as cpl 2, but have a green status light on cpl 1? Make sure your serial cable and eng menu "new device" serial port match.
