Running timeline in REV

I'm on a Kalypso, v.14, running a simple effect with boxes flying in and out. Only keyframe 2 will run in reverse back to 1. If I try reverse on later keyframes, it cuts to the previous keyframe. The timeline cursor does not move back. The fly-in move is different than the fly-out, so I want to be able to run either one - that's why I want to use reverse.

I've never seen this before. Any ideas on why REV works on some keyframes and not others?

Thanks, Bob. I just realized that when REV is on, the timeline is jumping to the NEXT keyframe, not the previous KF. That has me a little baffled.

One of the techniques that we teach is that on the last keyframe of a TE move, you should turn OFF the EFF SEND in order to put the TE channel back into the pool. This is an on-off flag, and would be the type of jump that you would see if you ran an effect backwards but would look OK if running forwards. Check the panel as you run the effect forwards & backwards to see if you see any lights turning on or off, which would be indicative of flag functions. If you see this with the button lights, try going to the last KF & making the light look the same as KF 2. If the lights don't lead you to the problem, then check the PATH for the TE or M/E...often users will put a HOLD on later KF's to stop the TE from moving around after it has landed. Changing the HOLD to S-Linear will give you the same result running forwards & smooth out the effect if run backwards.
