Hi
I have just taken delivery of a Sony MVS-6000 switcher. I have only ever worked on GVG mixers and am finding the navigation on the Sony a bit daunting. Has anybody created a "how to" shortcuts for the MVS series. It runs pretty much the same software as the 8000 series. I am finding almost everything is a 2 step process. The learning curve seems a lot steeper than the GVG. I do however like the look and feel of the unit.
Many thanks
Colin

Colin, I went from a Grass 4k to a Sony 8k so I understand how it can be a bit confusing. The best piece I was ever given was to remember all the concepts you've learned but accept you can't do it exactly the same way on a Sony switcher. I found that once I really came to terms with this, I was able to pick up the Sony in no time. - Allan

Colin, I too was from a mainly GVG background, and I currently work on an MVS-8000G. Is there anything in particular that you could use help with? Are you using the MVS-6000 as a stand-alone switcher, or with the ELC automation? Matt
