Hi All, I am trying to figure out a way to learn a register on the Lance controller with both A and B channels delegated and be able to call up that register manualy from the lance and have the delgation be recalled with the register. i.e: If I have only the A channel selected but recall register 20 (from the lance), which doesn't have anything in the A channel but somthing in the C & D channels, it will automaticlly recall the two (C &D) channels and gang them.  I've seen this feature on a few cueman files I have loaded but can't seem to "unlock" the ganged channels, just wondering how to access and use this feature? Thanks in advance!  Michael Nice

Hi Mike,

The "delegation" staus is independent of all other data stored in a Lance register - each device's in and out points, and clip name (if any).  I think there are something like 15 data fields in each register.  When you copy a register to another register (call up the first register, hit REG # - SET - XXX, where XXX is the 3-digit destination register), the delegation status is copied over to the new register.

Take a minute or so to read the Lance TDC-100's manual.  There are a lot of really cool features writtin into the controller's firmware that aren't always realized when you just look at the control panel.

Here is a link to the manual:

Hope this helps.

Best,
Steve

It's really easy - all you have to do is press the "C" and "D" device buttons simultaneously; hold them down; and press SET (on the bottom right of the numeric key are).  Your register is now "delegated" to those machines.
Happy switching!
Steve

Thanks Steve, Will this step also "unlock" the delegation to those machinces on that register. Say I have register that I only want to copy the B channel to another regester, but they are in this "mode" would I just do the same steps to undelegate them?   Thanks Michael Nice
