Hi all,
I'm having some trouble converting a bunch of animations (.avi files) using the Kayak image converter software for playback, ironically enough, on a Kayak.
Firstly I get an intermittent fatal software error when I try to convert a single file - this happens at the pont where I select the actual file from my local drive.  Batch conversion selection doesn't seem to have this problem at all.  Has anyone else experienced this?
Secondly - and the bigger issue - is that after I've selected the files I want to convert the IC software gets to the point of 'counting frames' from the first file in the batch (that message only flashes up briefly then disappears) and then seemingly nothing happens.  No output, nothing.  Is it working in the background with no status bar?
I'm wondering if the .avi file has to meet any specific criteria (screen resolution, naming, etc.) for the conversion to work.
The documentation on this whole process is extremely poor so I'd appreciate any assistance if you've worked with this before.
Thanks.

Hi John,

in order to convert an ".AVI" file , which first of all is just a "container"-format , you have to make sure that the same CODEC is installed (on that PC where the IC is running) which was used to create the ".AVI" file . Apart from that I haven't explored your discribed issues while converting ".AVI"-files .

Best Regards
