Sony 9000 FM clips

Can a User EFFECT recall a FM clip? I'm currently recalling a User effect to recall some stills because in the file menu I can load them all at once with their associated effects rather than load them separately in the FILE/Snapshot menu. Now those stills are going to be clips. When I tried to save the clip recall as a one keyframe effect, it only recalls the first frame of the clip. I'm thinking I have to use Snapshot rather than effects...
Thanks, Bill. That's what I thought. Now I'm having another problem with the FM's. My User Snap is not saving the FM with the repositioner or the pair on. We have some stills that need to be in slightly different vertical positions depending on what they're keyed over. When I first saved the Snapshot it saved and recalled just fine. Suddenly it stopped recalling the FM in the correct position. It is saving the position coordinates, but Pair and Reposition/Normal are not lit up. When I press one of those, it pops into position. When I recall, I noticed that the repositioner will be active on only one of the FMs, not both (FM 7 & 8, fill & key).
We're on Ver. 7.2 by the way.
Any ideas?

Not sure why it is that way, but you must use a user snaphot to save a clip for recall. Have to go to attribute, clip event, etc.
You can also use a macro to recall clips
