We are trying to hook-up and older 360 DigiCart II Plus to the news 8KG... not having much luck.

It was suggested to us to use PBus prootcol for the interface.

I'm wondering if we need to use an intermediary interface or control device between the DCU MKS-8700 and the DigiCart II Plus?

If so, would this be a Lance controller or a DNF box? We have the Sony Machine control module, but it was removed from the panel for the layout preference of operators... would this solve the problem?

The Switcher is currently running on ver. 8.10.2 software and the DigiCart is ver. 3.02 software. Engineering made the serial interconnect cable for us with the appropriate pin outs.

The DigiCart II Plus is set to remote interace, and the ID address is 01.

Using the serial cable and connecting it to the DCU MKS-8700, we can't get a connection. We have tried various serial connectors on the DCU card (there are six of them)

I think we have been all over menu page 7355 and the DEV and ENG menus...

No luck.

I have seen a demonstration of the newer series 360 DigiCart E connected and working with the 8KG, but the II Plus does not seem to be that easy to conquer.

Ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance your for time and assistance.

Try this DNF box, not that expensive,

They were common in trucks a while back when we had to trigger different sound clips with different DVE effects. Since most sports remotes now use a DDR, the PBus/Digicart interface isn't used.
