Hello Editsuite.com friends,

Due to tons of abuse, we now require that you request user access by sending us your Login, Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and Profession by submitting that info HERE.  I'll review your request and try to get back to you within the week.  You can't imagine how many folk want to trash forums with bogas advertising.

Also, please help us gain enough Facebook "Likes" to have a custom Facebook URL!

NAB is once again approaching - in the past few years I have offered suggestions as to what to look for in a demo & what to beware of...frankly a lot of "blah, blah, blah" for many of you. No warnings or caveats this year (I'm sure that my past diatribes are somewhere in the Editsuite archives if you want the speech). I also use the opportunity to invite you to come by & say hi. I'm sure that Ken, Mike, John, and all of the other demoers from all of the different manufacturers will be thrilled to see all of you, as we always are - NAB is not only a great place to demo, it's a great place to catch up with all of you each year. Because of a conflict with one of my shows, I won't be making it to NAB this year. So I offer my apologies in advance for not getting to catch up with those of you who have been so kind in the past as to stop by. But I understand that if you DO stop by this year that the SONY folks are going to be sponsoring a TD forum on Monday Night at 6:30. GV has held these kinds of forums for years - it's nice to see SONY also offering one. In the same way that the GV forums attract both GV and non-GV users, I would think it would be worth the time for TD's - even those who don't use SONY - to attend & see what is new...in the same way that knowing a Kahuna, ROSS, or GV switcher can teach you tricks to do on a SONY, there are tricks on the SONY that can apply to the switcher that you currently use or favor. More knowledge is always a good thing, and I am sure that even the "it's gotta be a Grass (or ROSS or Snell)" users would be welcome. I have been told that because this is an after-hours event that anyone who wants to attend just needs to let them know so that they can clear you with Security. I understand that the person to e-mail with your RSVP is Sammy Chan at Sammy.Chan@am.sony.com. I also understand that you can RSVP at the booth. Again, sorry that I'll miss all of you this year - I'll see you next NAB...enjoy the show.

Hi Bob,

Sorry you won't be at the show this year. It must be the first time in ages! I'll be at the Snell booth as usual demonstrating the Kahuna360. Tedd will be there demonstrating Kahuna also. It's too bad we won't be able to show each other what's new.

You are correct that your previous postings about NAB are archived. Here is a link to last year's.

Cheers,

-= Ken =-
