I am trying to use a macro in a timeline.  I have assigned a macro to misc 3.  Then learned the effect.  My question is how do you tell it to fire the macro at a certain point in the timeline.

In the Macro catalog menu, upper right, there is a button to enable a macro.  Build your timeline with misc. 3 and at the point where you want to fire a macro, turn on enable in the macro menu and choose which macro you want to fire in the window to the left of the enable, then insert keyframe.  Be sure to turn off the enable before you insert any other keyframes or it will fire it again.
