I took a look at the couple of Karrera threads and neither of them seem to touch on operation.  Has anyone seen the Karrera?  Thoughts?  Looks to me like its, as one person described it, the Zodiak of the Kalypso, but much more powerful.  I'm going to see one in about a month and am looking for some insight.

Pretty much nailed it with the reference to Zodiak.  I played around on the one at NAB a week ago.  Most difficult thing is that you have less than half of the physical buttons so it feels a lot slower to program and you don't have as many options to attach Macro's on.  The Grass website has some great renderings of the panel.

I saw one at NAB last year, and yes, it operates just like the Kayenne.  Some minor differences, but nothing you won't be able to figure out pretty quick.

That's right, the Karrera is exactly the same software as the Kayenne with a smaller panel. The restrictions are just in the number of rows of buttons and so programs made on one will play on the other.
