Hi,

Two extra channels of DME have been added to our switcher.

We now have 4 internal (1-4) and 4 external (5-8).

My question is when using the DMEs as external how do you store/recall the sources assigned?.

I've attempted to assign the AUXs to a USR and had no joy.

I can use the external DMEs via the key bus (ie internally), but I must have all 4 DMEs combined to see the desired output... I cannot use 7&8 internally when 5&6 are assigned via the key bus.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

-Cheers

The aux assign to a user should have worked.  Easier to just let the DME control the auxes.

Page 6113, keyframe menu, select dme effect. Whichever DME you have selected in the joystick/wheel module will have control.  There should be a In/Out button near bottom, make sure it does not say XPT HOLD.  Page 6113.15

This is the same place you should look for the user region also.  There could have been a crosspoint hold there as well.

Usually having the DME's control the auxes work well.  I would think only reason to use a user region would be if you have multiple feeds to an effect that you want to just change and save without creating multiple copies of the same DME effect.

For instance in a news program if you want to build in advance multiple cross talk boxes, you can have multiple DME effects that each have their own sources assigned.  Or one DME effect with multiple user snaps or effects to change what feeds that DME.

Awesome..... Thanks so much Bill.

I can now define what sources are used and save/recall via FXs. So happy!
